Optimal Alignment and Beyond: Bringing Safety and Depth to Yoga Practice

with Sara Meeks (Dipa) and Bhavani Lorraine Nelson

AUGUST 27-30, 2017

For medical and exercise professionals and yoga teachers

Learn to integrate precise body alignment, specificity of movement (Asana), pranayama (Breath), detachment (Pratayahara), Concentration (Dharana)  and meditative focus Dhyana) in yoga classes for people with different physical capabilities. Sara Meeks brings decades of experience as a Kripalu Yoga teacher and physical therapist while master Kripalu teacher Bhavani Lorraine Nelson adds both sound play and meditation to the mix.

Take your teaching and practice to the next level in a program that includes

  •  Optimal alignment and joint protection in all postures
  • Concentration on breath throughout the practice
  • Moving "from the inside out"
  • Letting go into “what is” even when it’s not what you want
  • Honing awareness of the entire body while concentrating on one part.
  • Adding sounding to postures to focus inner energy

Experience yoga’s true meaning—union of body, mind, and spirit—as an inner journey toward your true self that manifests outwardly in your life, practice, and teaching.
