Course Objectives

BONE CAMP: Advanced Movement Concepts for Skeletal Health

Upon completion of this course, participants will:
  1. Have increased knowledge of Osteoporosis and Osteopenia, first signs and risk factors for these conditions, know how to identify people who may be at risk in their own clinic and/or class, and be able to make referrals to health professionals as necessary and indicated by specific client condition.
Through practicing and also teaching the movements:
  1. Have an increased understanding of The Core and how to strengthen The Core in ways that are safe for bone health,
  2. Understand the relationship between hip flexibility and spinal alignment.
  3. Know how to perform SAFE spinal rotation, working actively from the muscles of the spine, in positions from least to most spinal compression.
